One of the most anticipated theme park rides, Cobra’s Curse at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is ready to uncoil.
The theme park released a POV of the ride during one of its test runs and this thing looks intense!
You begin by ascending a vertical elevator lift to the top of the highest hill before plummeting down nearly missing a perch of Cobras in what they’re referring to as “striking distance.”
After a few more dips and hills, you hit a section of brakes that turns your train backwards and you then travel for roughly 40 seconds backwards before hitting another set of brakes that allows your train cars to spin as you take each turn.
The coaster is a family spin coaster and the spin gives the ride that extra thrill.
From the looks of it, this isn’t a kiddie ride, but it’s tame enough that even novice coaster enthusiasts should be able to tame the Cobras!
The coaster opens this Summer at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.
